At the beginning of December 2011, the annual EUFCN meeting was held in Brussels in the beautiful Town Hall (World Cultural Heritage). The recent and upcoming activities for 2012 were discussed. Two external speakers were invited.
David Sim presented the model "Openbrolly" that simplifies the management of locations and gives detailed information e.g. about how often a location in the Location Guide was clicked on, if and how long a crew actually filmed there.
Jonathan Olsberg, chairman of Olsberg|SPI, London, presented in “The European Tax Incentives Landscape” the contributing factors to the decision of producers, where they shoot. SPI has advised dozens of national and regional screen commissions over the last 20 years.
